The Initiatives Made to Achieve the Sustainability of Our Mother Earth
As the goal of many countries is to have zero carbon emissions, there are many countries that already have an awareness in using renewable energy as their source of producing energy. There are many efforts that can be seen as an initiative made by those countries to ensure a clean and green environment. In correlation with our previous posting, here are another two countries that use hydrogen energy.
One of the countries that has made a move towards the green environment is South Australia. They are in the middle of progress in making the biggest hydrogen power plant in the World to Open Near Whyalla, SA. The green environment will not be able to continue if there is no effort made by the country. Therefore, the state government of SA had moved forward and given the fund to support the cost of the project.
It is forecast for the country to have their hydrogen power station to be fully operational in approximately two years from now (2025). As an initiative made by the government and its people, currently, there were already 69% of South Australians get their energy from solar and wind sources, and by 2030, it’s anticipated that SA will be entirely dependent on renewable sources. A great move has been made by the state that produces more solar energy than it can use, and it got to the point where the government had to ask residents to run as many appliances as they could to prevent an electricity overload.
Looking at another country’s initiative regarding the usage of hydrogen energy, Port of Corpus Christi, in the States, is currently going forward with plans for renewable hydrogen energy. As a plan to have a clean environment, a memorandum of understanding has been signed by the Port of Corpus Christi Authority in Texas and AmmPower, a Canadian sustainable energy business, to investigate the possibility of developing green hydrogen as feedstock for a facility that would produce, store, and distribute green fuels and derivatives.
As stated by Biggar (2023), for domestic and international markets, the facility would generate green, hydrogen-rich derivatives. The AmmPower Ceo, Dr. Gary Benninger said that the AmmPower facility [in Michigan] is planned to create the green fuel made from hydrogen feedstock, which will be utilised to power next-generation ships and carry green energy globally.
It is fair to say that many countries, or businesses are having the awareness to use renewable energy as their source of energy. As what had been working on by Doren, we are creating a system where everything that is used by everyone and everywhere is powered by green hydrogen. We are only using renewable energy as the source of energy and it is why the energy produced is called green hydrogen.
The aim of the project by Doren is not only to have a green and clean environment, but also to have sustainable energy. Energy produced through the Doren way could ensure the health and well-being of future generations which might be severely jeopardised if no significant action is taken to achieve environmental sustainability today.
